Welcome Jennifer Daniel to First Grade

Please welcome Jennifer Daniel to our first grade team.

This is Jennifer Daniel's 10th year teaching 1st grade in Loudoun County.  Before coming to Creighton's, she taught 6 years at Horizon Elementary, and 3 years at Lowes Island Elementary.  Before that, she received her Master's degree in Education from George Mason University and her Undergraduate Degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.   She did a teaching internship in the United Kingdom and student taught in Wilmington North Carolina.   In her spare time, Mrs. Daniel enjoys reading, running, volunteering with the youth at her church, and spending time with her husband and son.  Last year, Mrs. Daniel took the year off from teaching to stay home with her newborn son.  She found herself missing her students and knew that she wanted to go back to teaching.  Mrs. Daniel is eager to return to the classroom and is excited about joining the Creighton's Corner family.

Growth Continues

After a one year break (900 students this year), growth is once again ramping up in our area. We are preparing for over 1050 students next year. 

Penny Wars Winners

These teachers all got over $100 in pennies in their jars so they had to wear a silly outfit. Great fundraiser for our 5th grade party. 

Ruby as the Easter Bunny

Our dog Ruby loves to be warm when she walks in the morning. Her newest jacket is an Easter Bunny costume. 

2nd Grade Geometry Projects

Our 2nd graders did a great job with their Geometry Robots. Very creative!

Growth Continues to Impact CCE

Kindergarten registration brought more than 160 new kindergarteners to CCE for the 2014-15 school year placing us into overflow. 

First grade registration brought 42 new first graders placing our first grade into overflow next year as well. 

We have asked for an additional Kindergarten and 1st grade teacher for next year but will be in overflow until they are allotted. 

Odyssey of the Mind Teams make their mark at Regionals

CCES OM teams continued their tradition of excellence at the Regional Tournament at Parkview High School taking First and Second place. The first place team will move on to the State Championship. 

International Week

Our PTA and staff did a great job making International Week an exciting week for our students. From door decorating and poster contests to our International parade to International night, it was a wonderful week. 

3rd Grade Musical

Our teachers and students put on a wonderful musical set in the Gold Rush of the 1800s. A lot of work went into the production and the crowd loved it! 

Snow

If there's one thing I mastered this winter it was snow shoveling and plowing. After receiving around 4 feet of snow this winter, I don't care if I ever see snow again.
