Spooky Bingo. Spooky!

Next Week is Spirit Week!

Monday- Pajama Day. It's always tough to get ready for school on Monday, so give yourself a break and wear your PJs.

Tuesday- Wacky Tacky Mixed Up Tuesday. Plaids and stripes, mismatched shoes, inside out clothing. Wear your tackiest clothing.

Wednesday- Story book character day or Black and Orange Day. Dress as your favorite storybook character or wear black and orange.

Please, no masks, weapons (Sorry young Jedis,you'll have to leave the light sabers at home and rely on the force,) claws or full face paint.

Also, Please make sure your child has full range of mobility if they wear a costume.

Thursday- Crazy Hat/Crazy Hair Day.

Friday- Team spirit day. Dress in your favorite team jersey, hat, sweatshirt, etc or show your CCES spirit by rocking your CCES Spirit Wear.

5th Graders Study the Effects of Erosion

Mr. Burns and his class studied the impact of slope and vegetation on the movement of water and erosion on our campus. Students learned the impact of gravity on erosion.

Events of the Upcoming Week-Oct. 22-26

There will be a Boundary Information Meeting Monday Night, Oct. 22nd at 6:30 pm at the LCPS Admin. Building to discuss New Attendance Zones for the two new elementary schools being built in the Ashburn Area.  If you wish to speak at the meeting, you should arrive early and sign up

 This week in our PE classes we will be teaming with Northern Virginia Family Services to discuss the Impact of Homelessness on our region and ways we as a community can help.

Friday, October 26th is Spooky Bingo Night!!!  Doors Open  at 6pm with Carnival Games and Concessions

BINGO from 7-9pm  Children wear your costumes! Please No Masks or Weapons (Real or Fascimile)

It was great seeing everyone at Chuck E Cheese on Thursday Night!!!  2nd Grade pulled out a very slim victory in the Spirit Competition and we had over 200 students in attendance.  Great Job!!!

For Parents in Grades K-2 who have requested Clarity Passwords, we will distribute those on January 22nd, which is the opening of the 3rd grading period and the time when the Clarity portal goes live for students in K-2.

Oct. 29th - Nov. 2nd will be "Spirit Week" for CCES.  Each day will be a specific school spirit day (Ex Crazy Hat Day, Mix and Match Day, Twin Day, Pajama Day, School Spirit and Jersey Day, etc.)  Stay tuned for more information about each Spirit Day (Look for more information on Friday!)

We had over 200 students and lots of staff members in attendance at Chuck E Cheese on Thursday night. We were told we had one of the largest and nicest crowds they had ever hosted.

Canned Food Drive to Benefit Volunteer Loudoun Under Way!



The students at Creighton's Corner have rose to the occassion, collecting over a ton (2000 pounds) of food to support Vulunteer Loudoun and their Fall Food Drive.  Students were involved in a contest earlier in the week to collect over 1000 pounds of food in honor of Mr. Knott's Birthday.  They met the challenge, colecting 1,116 pounds of Canned and Boxed Food Items.

Mr. Lynch's class has been studying point of view from excerpts from Columbus's journal. They studied his landing in the new world from the natives viewpoint and from Columbus's viewpoint.
